AOL announced on Monday that it now offers RSS feeds of video programming from MTV Networks. Content will be added to the company's search engine from the MT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV, MTV2, mtvU, The N, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, Nick Jr., Nicktoons, Noggin, Spike, TV Land and VH1 networks.
Video content is available through AOL's video on demand tab on its main site, through AOL Search and Singifish, the company's video and audio search engine. AOL's video on demand archive now includes over 18,000 video clips, including content from the company's own library.
Good for AOL!

|I smile whenever I see AOL actually making use of their merger with Time Warner. AOL should be the HBO of the net, providing exclusive programming made possible by strategic alliances, for a monthly fee. Back when AOL had more home subscribers than straight-up Internet access, this was how things were - the net had very little to offer on Nintendo, Television, etc. - it was about typing in the AOL keyword and being treated to computer media content not available anywhere else. It was actually fun to have AOL =)
If AOL can weigh in that they can be profitable by harnessing 'intelligent decisions' and persue quality additions to their service, perhaps they will also reconsider their aggressive advertising campaigns that riddle their software into one big banner site.
