To Microsoft (or leading software developers/manufacturers): Hardware manufacturers have explained there are many tools available for developers to take advantage of their new technologies, but everything is developed so rapidly and so frequently that we rarely see support for hardware techologies, instead we get bloated updates and hardware that must downgrade to match new software technologies. When will the average PC consumer actually have an O.S. and its software that will catch up to and truly take advantage of multiple cores and hardware gimmicks such as Intel's Hyper-Threading technology for the long-term?

Don't you see that a less-draconian activation policy for Vista (currently much harsher than XP's, even and especially for the full retail versions), coupled with a more reasonably priced family/household license, will help finally wean customers away from XP?

Don't you believe that a simpler, less byzantine series of hardware requirements for playing HD, coupled with more widely promulgated, easily understandable instructions, will ignite enthusiasm for the new technologies?

With the Restrictions That the US Government has in placed within the Immigration Branch to limit the numbers of qualified Programmers and students that show potential to work at the Redmond Campus. Being someone who comes from the "over-50" age bracket, in a tech world which is obviously geared more and more towards the youth culture, I would be very interested to hear from any of the big tech companies (Microsoft, Apple, Sony, etc) as to what steps (if any) they may be taking to attract and include the very large market of current and potential users who are over the age of 50.

I am looking forward to the day when all of my home theare components and my fast pre N2 network converge will all tie together. How will Vista Home premium, router manufacturers, DISH network 622 DVR, HD television, Zunes, and Audio Video Receivers converge into one killer app? Progress has been made with XP and Vista's media center, Router manufacturers all have devices that combine some resources, but there is still no killer app or hardware that signals a true confluence of these technologies. Wouldn't you think that it would bring more people that are on the fence over the PS3/XBOX to the PS3 because of the fact that the return to the investment is greater.
