Cell Provider to Offer 'MySpace Phone'

Helio, a joint venture between Earthlink and SK Telecom, said on Thursday that it had reached a deal with popular social networking site MySpace to bring the service to two phones being offered by the carrier. Users would be able to read and post to the site at no charge, the company said. The phones, "Hero" and "Kickflip" would be feature large screens and cameras.
No launch date has been set for the service, and prices for the phones or plans were not announced. An "MVNO," or mobile virtual network operator, Helio would lease access from Sprint Nextel and Verizon Wireless networks in order to offer service. Logging more traffic than Google, MySpace has nearly 54 million users, and was purchased by media giant News Corp. for nearly $580 million.
any decent wap-enabled phone can access myspace. Get the Opera Mini browser for your phone mini.opera.com and myspace is already set in the bookmarks. All the traffic is routed through opera's servers which adapts the pages and further compresses pictures for faster loads.

MySpace is run by monkeys. While its got some great concepts, the backend hosting and development of it is awful and is done by guys with a high school level of education. /rant

I have found so many friends on there that I used to know or love to keep in contact with. In addition, it's adicting to have your own profile and keeping it updated

Cuz a real life is just so much work, right?

In comparison to anything electronic and that sends text from machine to machine; yes. Nonetheless I am a proud MySpace abandoner for over a full year.

I don't understand the attraction of myspace, but then again I'm well out of high school. Why is this service so popular?

I'm out of High School but only by a couple years. For me it has allowed me to get in touch with a lot of my friends that I had otherwise lost contact with for various reasons.

It's a service that allows pervs to get back into high-school...or at least the girls going there.

I use it just because I have friends that I would otherwise never be able to talk with. It's another for of E-mailing for me as I don't really do anything with my profile or Blogs, but just Message friends - that live way out of town.
Also I use it to find new music - which I have found plenty of it!
If nothing else turn it into a new way to listen to songs for free (download some even) and find new music!

Haha, I'm not going to lie. This is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard of, but you know it will sell more than like any other phone.
Good idea because it's going to get Helio rich as hell, but just so stupid.
