Creative updated its Zen Stone player on Thursday, adding a "Plus" model which doubles the capacity to 2GB for 69.99 USD, and includes a color screen and FM radio and voice recording functionality. Working much like the iPod Shuffle, it includes play and random features, and holds about 500 songs encoded at 128kbps. Its release follows the original stone last month, which went on sale for 39.99 USD.
Silicone skins allow the consumer to change the color of the player to any one of five options, and an armband and wristband option is also available. Accessories also include a portable speaker system that retails for 39.99 USD. The player will be available beginning in July from several online retailers.
Kinda feel for anyone who bought the original Stone recently..this sounds like a much more solid edition.

|Creative is actually a good product. Its just too bad their marketing are not good enough. In everything with the value of money, you get more than what you deserve. mp3 player, voice recording, FM Radio with a much lower price than apple.

|I picked up the Zen V (not Plus) as a graduation gift for myself. My fiancee has the MuVo FM. My Zen was a display model and the guy took $20 off the price. It is quite scratch-resistant, I have had it in a pocket with my keys (by mistake). I had a Shuffle until the flashing lights showed up. I may pick up a Stone for my son (or give him my V).

|That's pretty good competition for the shuffle! I would even try to use it on my iMac. 2gb, drag-n-drop music, radio, voice recorder. It's a pretty damn good deal!
