Fox Exec Uses MySpace to Call it Quits

By the Betanews Staff | Published November 17, 2006, 2:29 PM

How does a MySpace executive announce his resignation? On his MySpace page, of course. Fox Interactive president Ross Levinsohn wrote Friday in a blog post that he would step down effective November 27. His cousin, Peter Levinson, would take over his position at that time. Peter is also an employee of parent company News Corp -- he has been president of the digital media division of Fox Entertainment since 2004.

Both Levinsons have helped lead News Corp into the digital age: Ross is widely credited with organizing the MySpace merger, while Peter gets the credit for bringing Fox's programming online. "It's been an awesome two years building Fox Interactive Media, and the company is in great shape for the future. There is a whole world out there to explore," Levinsohn said on his MySpace page.

Yes well... Once Tom and his uber n00bness fell into a downward spiral pf pop-ups and banners, this kind of thing was bound to happen. People being EMO and/or lazy. Cannot even be seen on TV representing a massive multi-million dollar website.

They are owned by the same person- Rupert Murdoch.

I think it's funny MySpace is owned by News Corp, also another property of Murdoch.

Remember how Google was slammed by the extreme right for fighting the government subpoena? And yet, ask any parent what they are most afraid of about the internet- it's the people the kids might encounter on MySpace.

Here's a video link I just found. Notice how O'Reilly acts like he has never heard of MySpace. He does this several times by pronouncing MySpace wrong, as if it was an easy mistake to make. Take care to note that he blames the kids for being "dopey" and "troubled" for posting pictures of their selves. Then note how he calls MySpace a "town square" to take the heat off of MySpace.

And lets not forget their sleazy attempt to make bloody $$$$$ from a regurgitated OJ Simpsom TV special called "How I Would Have Killed My Wife". Murdoch also owns Regan Books and the Harper-Collins publishing company. Look for more of their crap at the book stores too.

Right wing politics are one thing; but this perverted REPUBLICAN (from Australia) has always looked for ways to profit by broadcasting sicko trash on our TV screens...
