RSSMicrosoft Shakes Up Windows Division

Microsoft may still be months from sending Windows Vista out the door, but the Redmond company is already cleaning house, Microsoft Watch reported Tuesday. Incoming Windows head Steven Sinofsky, who will replace Jim Allchin, is bringing in a new head of engineering.
19-year Microsoft veteran Brian Valentine, who has led Windows development since 1998, will immediately share his role with Jon DeVaan, Senior Vice President of Engineering. Valentine will then be transitioned out of the Windows group to a new, unspecified role. Microsoft also plans to move a number of other high-ranking engineers and Technical Fellows under company CTO Ray Ozzie following Vista's release to manufacturing.
These guys are having so much trouble with Vista it's just amazing. The thing is we hear about all the positive sides to Vista. But will it all be working up to snuff when it ships. I hope so cause I don't wanna buy a dude and wait 6 months to a year for a patch. Vista builds right now are looking good but still have bugs. I hope for the sake of PC Gaming Vista really does kick alot of tail and bring PC Gaming back to life. For those who don't like Microsoft i guess they don't like gaming. Cause i have to pray that they do really great, because i hate console gaming.

|trouble at MS? Unlikely, it's the best run and the most profitable company in the history of the world.
Threat from Google? Maybe, but it's only against MS search business, which is not really a big proportion to it's revenue. How do you know few years down the road, Google will not be the next Netscape? Like most of the user out there, the only Google product we use is their search engine. Once something better come out, we will make a switch in a heart beat.

But someone writes an intelligent -but unpopular-

|I name-call infrequently and indiscriminantly, more to make a point, than to insult. You focus on one indivual and lay-in like there's no tomorrow. It is well past what anyone would deem acceptable.
Tonality of the post also likely plays into it. If you give good info after laying into someone, it's geenrally acceptable. If you lay into someone and that's the entire point and purpose of the post, well... You get what you deserve.
The example above is prime. I make an smart-ass comment, not insulting or abusive, and you laid into me like a 4th grader on crack.
Can you tell me who took the mature side there?
I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just trying to explain what's going on here. Take it however you want.
