Scope - Interesting New Web Software

A BetaNews reader sent word over the weekend about a new Internet browser hitting the net dubbed Scope. What makes Scope unique is its ability to show you what the same Web page looks like when rendered by both the Mozilla and IE engines. Using a simple tab interface it allows developers to check both simultaneously without having to load several programs all at once. You can also save groups of sites to be opened at the same time under one single command. This lightweight browser also features tools to block annoying popup advertisements. For more information check it out here.
Scope is vary lightweight it fact it's an .exe and an .ini. The link groups are an huge timesaver. I use it in the morning at work when I routinely open the same 5 web pages everyday. I no longer need a macro for this. I have discovered one bug in my short evaluation time, approx. 2 hours. Scope doesn't seem to want to open a web page in a new tabbed window, it only returns a blank window and won't load the contents. I have discovered this on two different sites. Once when the site opens a new window when you click a link and also when you right click a link and choose to open in new window. I see both of these as minor problems and it won't stop me from using it. Anyways, this is a great app. Should be a big help for developers who cross check browser compatibility.

|Actually, it uses both IE and Mozilla engines - you can select which engine to use for each page you view from the "New" menu ...
