Sony Develops Environmentally Friendly Battery
By the Betanews Staff | Published August 24, 2007, 11:21 AM
Sony said Friday that it had developed a bio-conscious battery that is encased in vegetable-based plastic and runs on sugars. The sugars are poured into the battery, and are then broken down by enzymes in order to create electricity. It outputs about 50 milliwatts, and has enough power to run a music player and a set of speakers. The battery measures 1.5 inches on each side.
Sugar is a naturally occurring energy source, the company says. "It is therefore regenerative, and can be found in most areas of the earth, underlining the potential for sugar-based batteries as an ecologically-friendly energy device of the future." Sony hopes to eventually produce them for commercial use, although no date was given.
Doesn't anybody have a Sony Environmentally Friendly Battery exploding joke??? Wow, everyone here is so mature;-)

Once they figure out how to explode them, they will hit the market. Twice as expensive, with its own unique connections and non changeable sony charger. Any hardware using it will require a driver update embedded with a rootkit, but on a up side will ship with 10 Blu-ray disks just to bump up the figures.
On a different change of policy the Blu-ray player will be made optional.

|Sony, the worlds largest producer of Bullcrap has announced today that they will power their batteries using their excess marketing excrement.
The methane coming off the Sony BS Batteries gives extra hypo-power to all Sony products giving exaggerated features and that special stink of poo that Sony is famous for.
Sony VP Mr Kaz Slickeratzu said “Sony batteries are a hot item especially in laptops right now where our products have exploded in the market!" "We will bundle our Hypo-power BS batteries with our fantastic Blow Ray drives with improved security spyware feature RootUKit mark-2 products this fall"
Sony's shonky decapitated donkey market research has found that no other company on earth makes more hyper stinky products as Sony has. “We have done a standout job cornering the non-ethical corporate market over the past decade. We could drop a stinky brick and people would buy it” continued Mr Kaz Slickeratzu "We've done it before".

Basic Economics 101 - it's called "Supply and " wait for it "Demand".
Regardless of whether there is an abundant supply of something or not, if it is in demand, it will go for a lot of money (iPhone's anyone).

|Oh good, so now that corn prices (and everything that eats or is made of corn) have skyrocketed because of the ridiculous idea of creating corn-based ethanol, sugar prices can follow.

|Yeah, they may have more of a problem with these exploding than the lithiums. Sugar is a primary ingredient in terrorist bombs and rocket fuel! LOL The technology sounds pretty interesting though.
