Sun Takes Press Conference Virtual
By the Betanews Staff | Published October 6, 2006, 1:07 PM
Sun's next press conference won't be held at the company's Santa Clara, Calif. headquarters; rather, it will take place in the virtual world of Second Life. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, would be the first by a Fortune 500 company to be held virtually. Sun's reasoning for the move is that it fits in with the company's position of "the network as the computer."
The event, to be hosted by Sun Chief Researcher John Gage, will discuss Sun's plans for Second Life. Also, Chris Melissinos, Sun's chief gaming officer, and Philip Linden, CEO of Linden Lab, will attend to speak with attendees. In addition to the briefing, those in attendance will be able to tour a virtual Sun booth that includes video kiosks showing various Sun accomplishments.

This makes all of us think of PC_Fool, who stopped
participating here once The DataRat revealed in a
BetaNews exclusive that he's ~actually~ John Karr
posting from jail !
There's a few others in this forum who ...truth be
known... are criminals, perverts, and file-sharers.
BetaNews and your favorite rodent are dedicated to
exposing, prosecuting, and imprisoning these creeps.
[ By rendition to unnamed Third World countries if
necessary ! ]
There's no real difference between software
"pirates", file-sharers, and on-line pedophiles.
It's ALL crime. And we need to round these twits
up, march them down Main Street, and make a
public example of 'em.
PC_Fool (aka John Karr) thought he could fool the
PC Rat. Well, obviously he ~couldn't~ !
Nor can any of you little file-sharing criminals,
and other assorted anti-social types.
Law-abiding citizens look forward to the day when
DRM shall extend to EVERY area of daily life. And
you won't even be able to drive your car if you're
late on your monthly payment !
The RIAA ought to be made an official government
agency with police powers extending to ~any~ use
of a personal computer. Some of you we really
need to keep an eye on.
As for the rest of you who don't share files,
download pics of naked little boys, and haven't
been on IM with Senator Foley ...keep on the
lookout for anybody listening to music: It's
probably illegally downloaded !

Since you are at it, why don't you throw jaywalkers, people that drive 2 mph over the speed limit, serial rapists, and war criminals into that same group too...after all, there is no real difference.
What did anything you say have to do with the article anyway?

"why don't you throw
jaywalkers, people

...
Your answers are:
a.) Jay-walking is a non-criminal civil traffic
offense.
[ You know, when the PC Rat was a cop he
would get that all the time from bank robbers
he'd arrest: "Why aren't you out apprehending
jaywalkers, instead ?"
And, of course, jaywalkers would say: "Why you
arresting ~me~ ? How 'bout litterers ? I saw
someone throw a gum wrapper on the sidewalk !"
Ofc. Rat saw to it ALL of 'em got lengthy prison
sentences ...litterers, jaywalkers, bank robbers,
child molesters, war criminals, and file-sharers. ]
b.) So are speeding violations, and -here in
Arizona- we have "reasonable and prudent"
speed laws ...and 2 mph over ain't likely to
be ~any~ violation !
c.) But you hit the mark with "serial rapists
and war criminals". These are serious felony
offenders as are pedophiles, software pirates,
and file-sharers.
The DataRat sez: Lock up the pedophiles in the
same dungeon with the software pirates and file-
sharers ! Maybe also toss in a spammer or two.
Pedophile, serial rapist, software pirate, war
criminal, file-sharer, spammer ...they ALL ought
to be hung by their gonads from the flag pole in
front of City Hall at high noon !
We can do without ~any~ of 'em.

That pervert PC_Fool, his idiot supporters like

|So now press conferences are Webinars!
That will work great(sic) as now they won't even have the fact that you are physically 'trapped' in a space to maintain your attention!
This ONLY works if people are truely motivated to hear what you have to say.
Yawn....
