I'm sure that most of the people posting on this article are only getting half of the high definition experience. Most of you probably don't even own a surround system considering most of the comments here talk about the picture quality as if it's the only thing that matters when it comes to high definition. Talk about a massive waste of money buying a $600-$1200 Blu-Ray player when you don't even own the equipment to fully experience the HD movies you plan to watch.

Audio is every bit as important as the video. If a movie is not available in either Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD audio then it's a complete waste of money.

I really like the FUD hd dvd fanboys spread, while Blu-ray kicks them in the nuts (Hollywood__ is a gay too btw).

The funniest thing is that they made more harm with their stupid comments to their favorite format while actually they tried to make it more popular (if possible).

Nobody likes fanboys... thats why I killed off the real Mark. I don't particularly like Sony either but it really does appear that the BD format is slowly taking over HD DVD's early reign. If they both provide just about equal quality display output I prefer the medium which has the most storage ability (for PC use)... this happens to be BD... oh but you don't care about that... you prefer HD DVD to spite a couple of Sony fanboys.... ooookay.

I'm sure they're losing more than $100 per PS3.... probably double that. But those Sony B%$tards are a shrewd bunch... they'll get back that initial loss on BD movie royalties... and judging by the sales numbers they'll be in the black soon enough.

So it's not that I hate BD, it's just I prefer the better looking of the two. I've had a PS3 collecting dust since November. I've only used it to reference against HD-DVD with the same movie. And that was with the XA1 (which is a complete dog).

If it turned out BD was the better looking format, I'd shut the **** up because they have way more support and frankly, better movies. But is pisses me off that the better looking of the two is losing because most people are just uninformed monkeys who do whatever the salesman at the local Best Buy tells them.

I wish a third company would come along and put them both out of business. This AACS key fiasco and the reaction from both formats is a joke. **** em all I say.
