Bulky. It's huge...screen-wise. I run at default resolution of 1280x1024 and this thing takes at *least* 1/3rd of the screen. Nearly the entire screen if I have even one IM session going.

Yeah, I think I'll be going back to GAIM.

No offense, guys, but this is too "kiddy" for me. Get rid of the ads, the bubbles, and all the unused space and it might actually be useable in a professional environment.

For those still looking to get in the Windows Live Messenger Beta, you can simply go to http://ideas.live.com and go down to the Windows Live Messenger beta section and click on Sign Up. Enter your Hotmail e-mail address and submit. I did this yesterday and received my beta invite today. I wasn't given any beta invites to send out though.

thats not what a beta is about! i had gmail beta invites and i gave all of them out (befor the invite pages opend up) i think beta invites should be free as intended and not sold via ebay!
the guys who buy that are damn stupid!
