RSSWindows Live Vice President to Resign?

In a move that could signify more trouble for Microsoft's seemingly confused Windows Live group that has seen a number of products revert back to MSN branding, Corporate Vice President Blake Irving is resigning his post, according to Microsoft watcher Mary Jo Foley.
Foley writes that sources say Irving, who handled the behind-the-scenes infrastructure for Windows Live, will likely remain at Microsoft for several months before parting ways with the company. Irving joined Microsoft in 1992 and has worked on the Redmond company's Messenger and e-mail products, along with its popular blogging platform, Windows Live Spaces.
Windows Live is one of the dumbest/worst naming schemes ever.
MSN Spaces is also one of the dumbest ugliest looking things ever.
I'm about 6 months away from buying a new Apple computer. Yay!

LOL. yeah the MSN "Male butterfly" was pretty much my first indication that Microsoft was struggling fairly hard with branding/online strategy.
Without hotmail, Microsoft really wouldn't have much of an online presence. In fact, I found hotmail one of the best deals ever. Microsoft made off like a bandit with that property. Had the owners kept it and just developed it, they could be rolling in much, much more cash. Oh well.
