RSSMicrosoft to Drop $900 Million in China

One week after Chinese President Hu Jintao made a visit to the home of Bill Gates before heading to the White House, Microsoft has announced it will invest $900 million into the country. The spending includes plans to purchase $700 million in hardware from Chinese firms over the next five years.
In addition, Microsoft agreed with China's National Development and Reform Commission to invest $200 million into Chinese software companies by forming joint ventures and partnerships in the country. In return, Chinese companies will make large purchases of Windows licenses and help to stamp out piracy, which has become a major problem to China's software industry.

|Haha, in other words China sold their souls to the devil for 900 million. That sounds cheap for how many people are their though doesn't it. I wonder what Bill gates and the Chinese president did during his stay. Mr Gates must of made an impression I didn't think he was there that long, but im sure his rear hurts a bit. But when you are told ill give your country a 900 million shot in the arm. Well obviously we all know MS's intentions, give them 900 million we will make 12 billion over the next 8 years. Just when china was thinking of going with Linux due to the free open ended nature. What a surprise!

If you praise Linux so much, you should have trash all those companies out there who making profit out of it. Companies like Redhat, Suse are more evil that MS, making money out of something is free for everyone.
