Windows Phone 7 users sure are satisfied

As I reported yesterday, but want to call out more prominently today, a recent ChangeWave survey found that more Windows Phone 7 users are "very satisfied" than those with Androids.

Apple iPhone users are most satisfied, 70 percent in the "very" category. Fifty-percent of Android users are "very satisfied". For Windows Phone 7 users, it's 57 percent. But there's more. The number is a huge improvement over Microsoft's past. Only 14 percent of Windows Mobile users are "very satisfied".

"Even so, the higher Windows Phone 7 rating has yet to produce a sustained momentum boost for Microsoft in term of buyer preferences", according to ChangeWave. Maybe, but from customer satisfaction, successful products are made.

I asked my Google+ and Twitter followers about their Windows Phone 7 handsets: "Are you satisfied with yours?"

"No. The apps aren't as nice as on my iPhone and there are lots missing", ubergeek Robert Scoble responds. Well, for Microsofties who regard this former employee as a traitor have another reason to think so.

"I have used my cousins phone extensively", Hasan Ahmad writes. "It stands between iPhone and Android in terms of ease of use and refinement".

"I have the HTC HD7", Michael Dees responds. "I am genuinely happy with it. My only complaint is Hotspotting and dongling are not supported".

Manan Kakkar misses "a few features in NoDo but liked it and with Mango on the phone it is as good if not better than the competition". Mango is the next version of Windows Phone, which is expected within a few months.

Taimur Asad gives another big nod to Windows Phone 7's successor.  "I am using Mango on Omnia 7 and I am very much satisfied with it. Microsoft has fixed most of the annoyances that I had with previous versions of WP7". He emphasizes: "Windows Phone 7 Mango has the best social network integration out of all the major smartphone platforms out there".

Have you used Windows Phone 7? Please add to the discussion.
