I guess the real question is the professional version of Vista favoring network stacks and the home user multimedia?

It's refreshing to see Microsoft handle this so well and Russinovich does a great job at it. My only question is why would a "professional" os favor a multimedia media player over network under stress? What is it, a boy or a girl? If it is intentional, than can users needing the other way around switch priorities?

"I'd encourage anyone who received a validation failure since Friday evening to visit this site now; after successfully revalidating, any affected system should be rebooted to ensure that genuine-only features are restored," Windows Vista product manager Nick White said.
What do these idiots think? That we have all the time in the world to waste on their paranoia and primitive software blunders? My versions are legal. I have blocked my firewall and done away with that WGA idiocy after it slipped by under my radar.
Microsoft, start understanding our needs and stop fighting the consumers. Focus on your beloved hackers but stop bothering us. You're a prodigal waste of my time. I'm not updating to Vista, still running W2k and whatever XP update shipped with the last laptops we bought.

Diabolical, says I :)
Too late, too little, way too late. If they had had less ties with political groups and less ties with lobbies they might have heralded a new era of online voting.
I feel this could take a generation to be accepted again. Once people get bitten, they have a certain distrust. Then again,
people can be strange and sometimes just don't learn from past mistakes...

I've flown Virgin Atlantic for years and never settle for less, even when I fly to destinations they don't serve. They are that good. Anyone who traveled back in the 70s and remembers what it was like being treated like a real client will appreciate that airline.
I hope Virgin America brings healthy competition to our country. It's high time. I am constantly reminded how low we have fallen every time I fly to Europe. We had once the best airlines in the world. We are the laughing stock now. And I'm being nice...
