   And I'm talking about a motherboard change, not a little thing. Besides, you just said you needed a clean install. Most likely from not re-installing Windows with such a relatively drastic change.
   I cannot testify for Linux, I've tired it, and I'm no expert, not even an amateur. But I don't see how an OS that's configured around one board and chipset, to switch without a hitch unless it was prepared to do so. Don't blast me for being wrong either, I'm admitting I don't know jack about Linux (which does have some cool stuff).
