I have used Nero, ImgBurn, CDburnerXP, Burnaware and a few others.
None of which I have been nearly as happy with, as I am with Infrarecorder. It does pretty much everything you can think of, it is light, it is free and it is an active project.
My kudos goes to the developer. Best piece of burning software, if someone was to ask me.
2.05 Beta (Jul 15, 2009)
I have a lot of partitions, since I have a partition pretty much for every content.
This application really speeds up the transfering from one partition or harddrive to another. It delivers a steady but maximum speed. Clearly recomendable.
12.1 Build 8497 (May 13, 2009)
I am having difficulties understanding why it is, this program is still beeing developed. Once it was the best and most powerfull, but they slept, while they should have been intuitive, and just making the program, more and more useless.
Who in their right mind would purchase this over winrar or powerarchiver? While we are at it, why pay? 7-zip, peazip, zipgenius and lots more are freeware or open-source.
The last thing I do not understand, is why this company is still alive, and not producing huge economical losses. Like my father once said, The last idiot, has'nt been born yet. To add to that, beeing naive is not an excuse anymore. With the words "google it", beeing so famous, my 84 year grandmother knows it, even a chimp could find a free, just as good alternative for WinZip.
8.0.393.000 Beta (Apr 21, 2009)
I used this on and off for some years.
Interesting to see the decline of software. We are the witnesses to it. ZoneAlarm, was once a fine piece of software, then they decided to make MORE security. Right about there is where they lost it. It blocked the wrong things, I got virusses and what not.
.... Enough said.
8.0.0.1015 Technical Preview (Jan 20, 2009)
Freeware? Somehow I doubt it.
