  1. Review - Koepi's XviD Codec

    1.0 RC1 Build 25012004 (Jan 26, 2004)

stealthspy, it is based on a final code. XVID source is 1.0. All these flavours are based on that code. Go to xvid.org to get more info. They dont release binaries yet but they did finalize their code...

To review this codec...Koepis codec? Awesome. This guys really deserves a lot of credit for his work. The codec itself is truely the best MPEG4 out there...far surpasses DIVX. This proves the natural law of life...greed only kills, the best things are always free...wether they last is another story...

  2. Review - BootSkin

    1.0 RC2 (Jan 9, 2004)

What kind of programmers do they have working over there calling something RC0?

  3. Review - AC3Filter

    0.70b (Aug 19, 2003)

There are alternatives to this AC3 audio filter. Search google. I used this one for a while but like yourself, found that none of the settings were kept for the next movie. I also had a problem with quality and consistency in some of my movies. Its nice to have gain features to increase low audio but they are buggy and so is the filter. I am going to stick with my previous AC3 filter. This one needs ALOT of work and ALOT of bug fixing. Perhaps I will try it again in a later release but for now...I will stick with what I have.

  4. Review - Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall

    4.0.0 RC1 (Aug 8, 2003)

I agree with the bloating. 2.1.4 was nearly perfect. All it needed was some GUI changes and updating. With this new version, all the simple functionality is removed. You have rules here and rules there. Everything seems burried and hard to access. There is to much program protection, the web protection needs ALOT of fixing. While its nice to be able to turn these off, there is still limited rule creation protection. Certain features are missing (Systray animation is always on) and there are really no settings as the ability to start the firewall manually.

Why do companies feel the need to pack 20 MB of features into everything they make. It seems the only constant here and with most programs is speed, stability and a streamline program. When will a company hear our cries and make something that is slim and sexy...without the Symantec Bloat to it...

  5. Review - Samurize

I dont think its fair to give this awesome program a bad review cause someone is green to run it. Perhaps some computer courses are in order...

Yeah but MS doesn't gloat in ads that their software is the best thing to ever happen to their competitors OS'. If you do, you better make sure you make one damn good piece of software or like Apple, wind up with egg on your face.

    Good one...

Seriously though, what was Apples marketing tagline for iTunes coming to Windows? They need an update in a week...thats irony for you...served with a side order of more irony.

  8. Comment - RIAA Sues 261, Including 12-Year-Old Girl

I never said it was a strictly US issue. But it doesnt effect a single Canadian. I follow it for curiousity but it doesnt effect my life in a legal aspect. Just the effect of seeing people who share drop.

More of a nuissance then anything.
