It's not anarchy. I recognise that there are laws and there are civil and criminal consequences for breaking them.
That being said, I will never blindly follow a law just because it was written.

Moving into your house is a poor analogy. That implies theft or loss of use of the house.
Nothing is being stolen from Prince. He still has the original music and videos and can continue to sell them.
That being said, copyright infringment is still a crime.
In my opinion, it's a crime slightly worse than jaywalking. But in the current environment, manslaughter will get someone less jail time compared to copyright infringment.
