Bingo. The amount of money they could lose is staggering. It sounds harsh to say but limiting a device's use because of a small percentage of the population reeks of economic interest than special.

Why is everyone installing all of this garbage anyway? The best antivirus package available is YOU! Be smart, make sure your copy of windows has the latest patches and run MalwareBytes occasionally. These packages are bloatware and nothing more. The latest viruses can take days to be propagated via updates... by then you might already have it. Do you walk around outside with a bullet proof vest on? The vest would keep you safe against some things but not all.
I stumbled across one of those ridiculous sites which supposedly scans your system and tells you that you're infected. Obviously it's a scam (albeit a good one). I downloaded the program ... antivirus 2009 and uploaded it to http://www.virustotal.com. This site tests a file against a whole pile of antivirus programs. Only 34% of them realized this was a virus. 34%! Is that the state of antivirus today? Garbage... Stop believing the scare tactics and be responsible online. No software will allow you to be the opposite.

I never understood while creating a folder in Program Files would cause a popup. Or then trying to delete it... or maybe just move it. ARGH... no thank you. Rather than create software to allow people to do whatever they want, perhaps more information about WHAT to open and what NOT to open is more helpful. For starters having SHOW File extension as ON by default would help. If your favorite movie clip is MOVIE.MOV.VBS ... DUH!

Typical comment from a Unix wacko. Your assumption is that ALL Windows users are idiots. I'll accept your comments with less pigeon holing.

The logic to put a Vista logo on a router is twofold:
1) For the non tech savvy it will make them think they have to rebuy (Please don't tell me they don't play into THAT)
2) Make them more like a MAC. Let's face it... you plug an airport and the mac will see it and connect.
For XP it's Home, Professional. At least Home is a functioning operating system... how many people in the home environment need to login to a domain? For Vista there are 4 choices... 1 of which: BASIC, is a complete waste of time. CONFUSION! MS has goofed here... they know it. Work has already begun on Windows 7. Lets hope they can figure out how to make copying actually work correctly... amongst other things.
