It is still a very big download at 155 MB, not to mentions it's size after installation.
I tend to favour SSuite Office’s free office suites. Their software also don’t need to run on Java or .NET, like so many open source office suites, so it makes their software very small and efficient. {37MB}

I will never pay for software when free alternatives are available! When it comes to Microsoft, there is no free, just pay up!.
Online apps only work while the server is running. When it stops, ever-one stops!
You should try SSuite Office for a free office suite.

Online office suites only work as long as the server is running. When it stops, your business stops.
Desktop office suites are not going to be replaced very soon. I will never pay for software when free alternatives are available! When it comes to Microsoft, there is no free, just pay up!.

I still prefer free office suites. With this new MS office we are all going to suffer with document compatibility. It is a big mess.
Microsoft is doing its best with vendor-lockin. I have been using rich text documents with great success, as it is able to be opened by any OS or office suite. I know that it is limited in functionality, but at least it is open to all.
I use SSuite Office software. It is capable of creating very nice rich text documents, which anyone is able to open, no matter on what system or office suite they use.

I also hate the new ribbon. Suddenly my whole screen just got a lot smaller. There is no more screen room for my documents. Everything seems cramped. MS should never have created this abomination!
This is why I started to search for an alternative office suite, and so found one that met all my needs. You should try SSuite Office for a free office suite with the classic menu structure.
They have a whole range of office suites that are free for download that will meet all your demands. Their software also don't need to run on Java or .NET, so it makes the software very small and efficient.
