  1. Comment - 'Metal Gear Solid 4' gives PS3 a sales boost in Japan

    (Jul 3, 2008 - 3:32 PM)

The MGS flame burned out faster than I thought. What ammunition is left fo Sony? Killzone 2 and Little Big Planet isn't going to provide a boost. The Little Big Planet audience all have Wii's and Killzone being just another FPS's of which we are flooded with.

Sony is very very boring. Too much focus on pushing features & agendas that no one needs, and too much hype and not enough delivery of the goods. We are probably halfway through this generations life span and still PS3 is nowhere and with no Home in sight.

I actually think (& god forgive me for saying it...) Xbox 360 was probably the pick of the consoles this time around. My Wii and PS3 are not very entertaining. I'll swap both for Mass Effect.

  2. Comment - Seagate: Solid-State Disks Will Never Replace Magnetic Storage

    (Aug 25, 2007 - 4:12 AM)

LTO Tape is reliable and the only means to safely transport data backups offsite. One LTO-4 tape holds 800GB native or 1.6TB compressed capacity.

Disk is good for local restorations of small files. If you where going to do a full restore, its far faster to use Tape. With throughput of LTO-4 at 1.1TB per hour you would need a single diskgroup of 112 x 15K hard drives to equal it.

  3. Comment - PS3 Sales Improve, But Still Last Place

    (Aug 25, 2007 - 4:01 AM)

Sony's PS3 sales improved this month, three people purchased one. So far they have decided to keep it even though they had mistaken the PS3 for a BBQ.

Sorry - I stand corrected. KMart have agreed to swap the PS3 for a Webber and a bag of heat beads.

  5. Comment - Sony Develops Environmentally Friendly Battery

    (Aug 25, 2007 - 3:46 AM)

Sony, the worlds largest producer of Bullcrap has announced today that they will power their batteries using their excess marketing excrement.

The methane coming off the Sony BS Batteries gives extra hypo-power to all Sony products giving exaggerated features and that special stink of poo that Sony is famous for.

Sony VP Mr Kaz Slickeratzu said “Sony batteries are a hot item especially in laptops right now where our products have exploded in the market!" "We will bundle our Hypo-power BS batteries with our fantastic Blow Ray drives with improved security spyware feature RootUKit mark-2 products this fall"

Sony's shonky decapitated donkey market research has found that no other company on earth makes more hyper stinky products as Sony has. “We have done a standout job cornering the non-ethical corporate market over the past decade. We could drop a stinky brick and people would buy it” continued Mr Kaz Slickeratzu "We've done it before".
