It may not be widely used, but Opera is far from a piece of junk. It's been my browser of choice for a long time, and I find it much more appealing to use than both IE and Firefox.

Because Netflix is about to walk away with Apple's online video renting lunch, that's why. Apple TV is a dud in comparison to their grasp on the music industry. The prices and timespan for online renting via iTunes isn't very competitive, either. But I guess the prices wouldn't be too terrible if the selection was decent, but unfortunately most new movies are stuck with a 'buy' button and no 'rent' button.
Meanwhile, Netflix has a monthly fee that includes blurays to my door and unlimited online streaming of what is becoming a better and better streaming library. Apple needs to be where people go for renting online, but at the current rate, that isn't going to happen. A more serious effort behind AppleTV needs to happen, and iTunes needs to realize that Netflix and Amazon on demand pose a threat.
