What ever the "long term failure rate" would be with more usage... I'm sure it still doesn't measure up to the possible 54.2% FAILURE rate of the 360.

Though 54.2% is a little hard to believe, it is a pretty well known fact that the # is way too high for any product. The real # is probably in the 30's. But thats besides the point... Call the PS3 whatever you want, but don't try to compare failure rates.

"BDs won't be replacing DVDs as the primary optical drive in PC systems through at least the year 2013,"....
This is FANTASTIC news for the BDA. How long did it take CD's to replace diskettes? And how long did it take DVD's to fully replace CD's... years and years. These things didn't happen within the course of just 3 or 4 years. We're talking about almost 10+ years. So to say that "BDs won't be replacing DVDs as the primary optical drive in PC systems through at least the year 2013," IS PRETTY GOOD.

I think this is going to be great for the PS3. At a price of $299 with a Blu-Ray player included and free online play...Its actually a pretty great buy. Even if you are not interested in the bluray player, the fact that it includes one is still a motivator.
Naturally the xbox will match the price drop with news of their own. Very interesting to see what they come up with.
Oh, and whats with the lack of information from the story? I guess this is just a story comparing the psp with the ps3. Good job Tim.

That's the same stupid argument we hear about Rock Band/GH. It's not real. It's a game.
Why don't you just carjack someone and beat prostitutes with bats in real life!!!

Maybe it's BECAUSE these were the most pirated games of all time is why they are struggling.
You are comparing Command & Conquer 3 with Spore? Dude, nobody wants CC3.
