  1. Review - Norton 360

    1.0 Build 127 Beta (Nov 23, 2006)

Try getting cust. service from these guys. = Impossible. I upgraded from my old Norton to this new crap and for whatever reason didn't take. I played the phone tag and email thing back in forth trying to get this to work before i gave up. Luckily my cable internet company provides free McAfee which i intalled with no problem and works like a charm.

  2. Review - Maxthon (Classic) Standard

    1.5.8.120 (Oct 26, 2006)

Since i hate the latest version of IE7, Mainly for visual reasons, I broke down and installed both Avant and now Maxthon. Both do a nice job of adding features, Buttons, you name it. I don't understand the higher rating for Maxthon over Avant though. There both the same. One has different features verse the other, but nothing to warrent such wide difference in ratings. Either way, both are good choices to spruce up that nightmare IE7 user interface. Its now a browser war on my desktop. I have Maxthon, Seamonkey, Firefox, Avant and of course IE7.

  3. Review - Microsoft Windows Defender (32-bit)

    1.1.1592 (Oct 24, 2006)

Its hard for me to review this, mainly because unlike spybot and adaware which i used to use on my old pc, this isn't as hands on. Meaning, it sorta works under the radar, you dont get any major alarms or messages. But i guess thats a good thing. I've only used this as my anti spyware software since i bought my new pc about 6 months ago, and i haven't seen any wierd spyware adds, pop ups or slow downs do to spyware. So that being the case, I give it a 5.

  4. Review - Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows XP

    7.0 Final (Oct 19, 2006)

Where to begin. Lets just say, this is a horrible browser. I like allot of bells and whistles and options in my software and this provides nothing. Its a major step back. That interface is terrible. By far the worse of any browser i've tried. Instead of shrinking the main toolbar and buttons (I guess for 2 year olds), i want more options and buttons. How about extensions like firefox or Opera. What about letting the user decide what to see when you enter the context menu when u right click. Or if i want the buttons small, medium or any size? With that terrible version of WMP that also came out its obvious that Microsoft is going backwards with these releases. With IE7 comming preset with Vista i can tell you now, I won't be upgrading to that crap either.

  5. Review - AOL Instant Messenger for Windows

    6.0.4.5 Beta (Oct 18, 2006)

Not bad. Aol finally stopped loading all that bs with its im software. Does what its supposed to do. I like the type user interface. Don't know about the previous complaint about the look. I only tried triton once over a year ago and I didn't like it and went back to my old version of aim. I think i will keep this version.

  6. Comment - Firefox 2.0 vs. IE7 in Vista: How Close?

    6.0.4.5 Beta (Oct 27, 2006 - 11:54 AM)

Its not close. Firefox is worlds ahead of IE. When IE has a 10th of a percent as many extensions, and the same for themes, than call me. But right now, to say its close, your a employee for microsoft, so stop posting that kinda crap.

  8. Comment - Spamhaus Won't Pay Alleged Spammer

    6.0.4.5 Beta (Sep 16, 2006 - 2:33 PM)

Good for Spamhaus. When will these ahole marketing firms learn. We don't want you calling our homes, sending bs mail to our houses and bothering places of work. Go buy a billboard somewhere and advertise. UK should soon this judge for being a ninkumpoop.

  9. Comment - Firefox Tops 200 Million Downloads

    6.0.4.5 Beta (Aug 1, 2006 - 4:29 PM)

Can't believe anyone uses IE. Guess some old timers are afraid to get with the program. I use Seamonkey myself, a close cousin to firefox. But Firefox is good. As for IE 7, its horrible. Reminds me a bit of the Netscape 8 series. I guess they think the public likes small icons and small toolbars. Same with WMP 11. I guess thats the direction Microsoft is going in and i think it stinks. What happen to giving the cust. options. I always hate the terms, bloated and too much memorie being used. Sorry, i like all the features offered and memorie, come on, what are people using, pc's from 1985. As for security, You cant do better than firefox.

  10. Comment - Netscape.com Reborn as Digg Rival

    6.0.4.5 Beta (Jun 15, 2006 - 7:40 AM)

As a former Netscape fan, It was hard to watch Aol totally destroy the browser and there web portal. I can't believe this is still around. And aol, doesn't know what its doing. Either improve your own aol content and dump the Netscape side of the house, or put everything into Netscape. Couple years ago the Browser was looking good after if was based on the Mozilla code. You would think they would convert its members to Netscape, So what does Aol do? They sign an agreement to extend IE with its package. Totally clueless overthere...
