  1. Comment - Pirate Bay trial closes, verdict in 45 days

Has TPB broken the law? No. Have the circumvented it? Yes. Will they win? It depends on several factors, yet it mainly rest in the judges hands. If he wants to make an example out of TPB he will. Let’s hope it does not come to that. I like to look at TPB as selling "Bongs"... or other drug paraphernalia. It is not illegal to own these items, however, they can be used for illegal things. The owner of store is not held responsible when someone lights up a bowl of marijuana in the device. The person smoking is. This is just an analogy, but it holds truth in comparison. TPB cannot be held accountable what we, the “addicts” have used their services for. If this court plans to end TPB they have a long battle ahead of them. They will have then go after every other Pirate-like site, for it to truly end. It has taken them long enough to get this far with TPB, lest we not forget the raid on their facilities a few years ago. And what came of that? Absolutely nothing, THE PIRATE BAY IS STILL ONLINE! I recommend we re-launch the campaign for donations for the acquisition of SEA-LAND for TPB to relocate their servers into international waters. We can do it. If TPB falls we are all doomed. And will probably start actually paying 25-30 USD for a DVD that cost 1 USD to make and 20 USD for a CD with 10 songs on it. There is your outrage.
