3.0.8.1 (Mar 19, 2008)
Funny how fanboy reviews avoid discussing the product in favor of attacking its critics.
I downloaded the latest version when it was released a couple days ago. I deleted it shortly thereafter, because the feature set was just as disappointing as it was in the older versions. Maybe, just maybe, the negative reviews are the same version after version because very few of the complaints are being addressed. Nah...
3.0.8 (Mar 17, 2008)
Still waiting for all the features they removed with version 3 to return, let alone the features I would have liked to see in version 2.
3.0.4.1 (Dec 9, 2007)
I fail to understand why people claim to be so impressed with this software. Because it's free? The 2.x series had a decent feature set and a fairly unimpressive interface. The 3.x series managed to remove the majority of the features in the 2.x series, making it mediocre at best. There are a ton of FTP clients in the world, and this one just doesn't impress. The interface is still weak, and now it has one of the most meager feature sets in the lot. No matter what you value, you can pretty much always find an FTP app that does it better than Filezilla at this point.
11.0.2 Build 1 (Dec 7, 2007)
The tool itself is extremely useful; feature rich and an awesome set of 'they just work' up to date codecs. I only use the ripper portion, but it's well worth the money by itself.
On the few occasions where I've needed support, the author has been very helpful and responsive (from a couple years back to just earlier this month).
3.0 (Sep 10, 2007)
Where did all the options go? It took them a full year to delete 3/4 of their features and beta a new skin?
Version 2.2 had some pretty annoying flaws, but it was passable. Version 3 (Final?) appears to have a new theme and about a quarter of the configuration options of 2.2. I feel like I've got to be missing something... Settings is practically empty. Talk about a step backwards!
