6.5 Beta 2 (Oct 17, 2009)
Beautiful integration and connection sharing with SecureCRT. I've used this in the bundle for years. It's powerful and scriptable. Makes repetitive jobs a breeze, and cross platform secure transfers easy.
6.5 Beta 2 (Oct 17, 2009)
The best of the best. I've been using this in the SecureCRT/SecureFX bundle for years. Yes, it's expensive, but the capabilities are unbeatable for professionals. The scripting and tabbed interface make difficult and repetitive jobs a breeze.
Expensive, but worth it, if you have a need for a full-featured professional product, this is it. I wouldn't be without it. Also, top notch support over the years, and responsive to customer requests for new featured. I've had many I suggested added.
Call me a satisfied user.
4.2 Beta 1 (Nov 28, 2008)
I hate the KDE 4.2 (4.x in general) interface. This is another case of developers going off in a direction that users don't want.
I want a live and useable desktop like 3.5, don't care for the desktop plasmoids, what few there are. Most tray apps from older releases don't work right. As to fancy graphic jiggle and desktop rotating cube effects go, I could care less. I prefer the older method of switching desktops via the pager and do not want to waste time watching stuff jiggle and move on screen when I want to make a change.
I've *really* tried hard to like the 4.x releases, to see what the developers had in mind when they made this drastic UI change, but I just don't get it. I've been a KDE user since the very beginning. If this is the KDE future, I am going to have to make a switch to Gnome.
I'll keep an eye on this, but won't be moving beyond KDE 3.5 for my daily use any time soon. Perhaps when the later releases are fully fleshed out I may change my mind. I was hoping that might be in the 4.2 series, but it is looking like I'll need to wait for later releases.
2.5.2 (Oct 20, 2008)
Good and keeps getting better. Can't use Miranda as there is no SILC support.
4.1.6 (Jul 31, 2008)
Still won't remember screen size in 2k.
And tech939, I'll stop reporting 2k bugs in WinSCP when they officially take 2k off the supported OS list for the WinSCP application.
As long as the 2k OS is on the supported list and there are bugs, I'll report them here. If you bothered to look closer, you would have seen that the reports I posted, and several reports are showing, were for different revisions of WinSCP, this latest being 4.1.6. I'm not reposting the same bug, merely reporting that it has yet to be addressed in this latest revision.
