9.55 (Oct 2, 2009)
i ran autoruns and simply disabled a few nuiscance startups, like googletoolbar updater.
however after reboot, vista failed to start.
something about autochk was a problem and in safemode the system would halt after crcdisk.sys
repair install and restore proved unuseful.
but i learned that my system was not making system restore points, though the system protection feature was enabled.
conclusion, don't recommend this dl for vista users.
1.4.2.192 Alpha (Jul 10, 2009)
i've used it and does provide helpful information.
Service Pack 2 (May 27, 2009)
anyone know how to remove the little message that appears on the bottom right hand corner of the desktop that still infers the "evulation copy of sp2"?
uninstalling the sp2 beta didn't remove it.
0.9 (May 12, 2009)
based on my use of it,
seems like something i would recommend.
i like the small foot print and has a modern look to it.
nothing more to ask of it except ensure that it actually "prevents" an infection but won't know until the bridge is crossed.

actually, 3.1 can be obtained here:

i highly recommend this program to vista users.
it is disturbing to not understand why if vista is such a graphical exhibition, it has a poorly looking and limited start menu.
perhaps, microsoft should buy this program and provide is as a vista extra as it is a worthy addition to vista and very helpful for vista users.

eventually the more programming both companies use to streamline their o.s.'s
the closer they will become looking like each other.

microsoft probably doesn't need to layoff that many people.
if it didn't need them to begin with, then they should have been layed off when the times were good.
microsoft is just using the excuse to improve its bottom line.
however, there are other issues with the bottom line.
the fact is that at one point, the market will be saturated with microsoft products that sales will ultimately bottom out.
3.0 Preview (Nov 2, 2009 - 8:56 AM)
not worth the trouble, i would say.
you may want to wait for an update from microsoft or a new driver from the maker.
3.0 Preview (Nov 1, 2009 - 12:01 PM)
microsoft has designed clean installs with upgrade media's to be good for only 30 days.
i wouldn't tell people to waste any time with the methodology above.
3.0 Preview (Nov 1, 2009 - 11:58 AM)
reinstalling drivers that are not o.s. specific is futile.
basically if the manufacturers don't provide its customers with updated drivers or patches and if microsoft doesn't have them,
then its time.....
