  1. Review - avast! Home

    4.7.1098 (Dec 4, 2007)

Been using this a few months now, it really is the best anti virus app out there. Better than AVG, and of course better than norton bloat 2xxx.

  2. Review - The KMPlayer

    2.9.3.1421 Beta (Dec 3, 2007)

Best media player on the market. Not buggy as some guy suggests...vlc is better? LOL. This app walks all over vlc.

Enjoy the best player on earth folks! (for a second place, go for gom player)

  3. Review - ACDSee

    10.0.238 (Nov 27, 2007)

Very nice software. View your images, edit tem and all sorts of things. Fast too. Has the best gui of all the image viewing apps out there.

  4. Review - FastStone Capture

    5.9 (Nov 27, 2007)

Five stars for the app. zero for the fact they made it shareware. The app was good when it was free. I'll stick with the older one...or better still get a keygen or crack. :)

^---to the above guy: when a company does a bait n switch, they just ask for their apps to be cracked. I know alot of work goes into this, and it is a great app. But telling me I have to pay for it now? No.

  5. Review - PC Tools Firewall Plus

    3.0.0.52 (Nov 27, 2007)

    Worst. Firewall. Ever.

I installed this and could not access ANYTHING at all on the internet. This blocked all applications, even if they were set as full access granted. I tried every setting on this thing (trust me, as an advanced user, I suggest you always try all settings for any software you get, with or without problems). Alas... nothing. Nada. Even closing the firewall, turning it of etc..nada. Uninstalled..all fine again.

Get comodo 2.xx. Best firewall out at the moment.

Looks like Sony paid them off. It will be their downfall.
