  1. Review - FinePrint

    6.05 (Jan 15, 2009)

Doubledoom - PriPrinter supports both letterheads (print from any app to PriPrinter and then select Save As Form...) and per tray settings.

  2. Review - priPrinter

    1.1.0.568 (Aug 2, 2008)

The best virtual printer and previewer around, bar none.

Developers very responsive to feature requests, and bugs fixed quickly.

Has both x86 and native x64 versions as well.

    ~$10 cheaper than FinePrint too.

  3. Review - FinePrint

    6.01 (Aug 2, 2008)

Good software, but nothing really new for version 6. Used to be the best, but has now been overtaken by the superior priPrinter.

  4. Review - System Safety Monitor

    2.0.5.565 (Mar 31, 2006)

    http.confused - I'd rather you didn't rate it at all! :)

Seriously though, did you contact customer support ?

If so, and they dismissed your complaint without further thought then fair enough.

If not, then I think it's unfair you slag off a product when you haven't even given the developers a chance to put it right.

Put yourself in their shoes.... Would you be happy if someone did the same to your product ? - I think not!

From my experience of SSM, I have had some BSOD's with the beta releases, but these have always been fixed promptly. The last couple of builds have worked like a charm, and I now currently use SSM as my HIPS (Don't like the term, but it's succinct) due to it's ability for extrememly fine-grained control over apps.

I will however be taking a look at the new AppDefend (now GSS) beta when it makes an appearance.

There are still improvements to be made to SSM, but it is currently the best HIPS app on the market, bar none.

If you are looking for the best HIPS app currently on the market, then SSM should be your first choice.

  5. Review - To-do List

    2.4.0 (Oct 17, 2005)

Complete waste of money, especially when there is a freeware app, also called ToDoList, that does a whole lot more (and has full source code)
