9.5 Final (0.4337.148.1) (Oct 15, 2009)
The way you feel about the company is not a review of the software. A review is about the functionality of the program.
With that being said, I have no problems with this release. All other 9.5 betas that I tried had lots of little problems that made the experience like having a stick poked in my eye.
As long as some people prefer an all in one solution to the on line experience, AOL will be around even if it is the free for broadband service.
1.6 Beta 2 (Sep 13, 2009)
Why would anyone with a Mac put this mess on the machine?
The Windows version is bad enough, Eeeek!
I've started calling it the freeze me up bundle.
3.0.2.2 Alpha (Sep 13, 2009)
It's been a very long time & still it's an Alpha.
Bring this sucker into beta already.....
slow pokes !
Not to say that I'd like the Maxthon 3 anyway, but if it's better than the 2.0 version, well maybe I'll mess with it for a while.
As it stands right now, I have no use for it..
2.5.7.1162 (Sep 13, 2009)
Why don't these people at Maxthon just give up & go home.
I've moved on from the mess that the browser has turned into.
Firefox has blown the out of the picture totally.

I couldn't get this to work on XP sp-3 either.
I had to do a system restore to get my old version back.
It kept saying not enough memory and disk is full.
It was running in 3 instances in the windows process window, even after re-starting the computer.

I totally agree with you. I can't tell you how many times I've almost been hit by someone texting or talking on a cell phone. And they just whiz right by like nothing happened while I'm sitting there trying to calm down my wife and kids because of what just happened.

Being able to turn off IE-8 is a great step for Microsoft to take.
And that is all they should be required to do.
New computers come with an overload of pre-packaged software to begin with.
I always find myself uninstalling half of it & downloading & installing what I want.
I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in taking that action either.
The non Microsoft browsers that are available are always in a constant state of update and change. So by the time the computer is bought and set up, the packaged browsers would be obsolete & need to be re-installed anyway to get the current version.
So shut up Von T. (Mister Opera) and just get over yourself.

Wow, my area gets nothing but PBS. Not that I don't like PBS, I really do. It's a good thing I can get cable TV.

Wow, you show such emotional control over yourself, I'm shocked.
Fact, all of the US will loose analog TV signals.
Fact, If you didn't get a converter or a TV with a digital tuner, you will only get static.
Fact, TV shows have been bombarded with commercials and tickertape warnings about the change for almost a year.
Fact, it's going to happen, so don't wait & have your TV or converter on back order for weeks & miss all of your shows.
