9.50 Build 9937 Beta (Apr 18, 2008)
Diam0nd: Did you notice "Write a Review" at the top of this thread?
Do you know the difference between being objective and Opera fanboy?
If Opera release software with statements like "In fact, they may not work at all" then they must take the heat in review forums.
I am a great fan of Opera but 9.50 final is taking too long.
9.50 Build 9594 Alpha (Oct 12, 2007)
Opera always on the forefront of browser development - these are Alpha releases, so treat them as such - final will be awesome !!!
A note to "sturgess" - don't go on line when you indulge in mind altering substances - you just make your name "ASS"
7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) Release Candidate (Oct 12, 2007)
I am a WIN user since my first PC and were tempted to try Ubuntu on an old PC when I upgraded.
The experience left me holding my mouse and be very confused - I reformatted (nightmare) to re-install Win again
My suggestion - don't talk to the WIN user base about "distribution that starts with the breadth of Debian" and "ships with the latest Gnome release" - we don't have a clue what this mean.
Millions of users don't have the attention span or the will to learn something different. "Tried it, no immediate satisfaction, oh well, move on"
There have to be an easier way to migrate many years of using WIN to be identifiable in Linux
The screenshot leaves you with the impression of a WIN kind of an experience - not so
I gave it a 3 based on my experience and not the quality of the program
9.02 Build 8573 (Sep 9, 2006)
I have been a loyal Opera user for about 5 years now - love it to bits !!
But since version 9, they have the "Annoyance Of The Century", and they have not fixed it in the last three updates
"Right Click" to save an image, reloads the image from the server - does not save the fully loaded image on your screen or from cache
So, if you opened 10 images of 1 meg each, saving them forces the whole reloading cycle - crazy!
You can bypass this by holding down CTRL key and clicking image - but I don't want to use use two hands for this action
Other than that, awesome browser
9.02 Build 8573 (Oct 30, 2006 - 2:16 PM)
Nice one MS, but 338Meg download for a "stripped down" version is not for us on dial-up
