junk. just because there are machines out there that have 8gb of ram and dual quad core cpus does not mean that I want to use all that power to be able to open IE without crashing. the interface, although past due for update, was just fine without all the unnecessary garbage grisoft tossed in. I have been running avg for 7 years because it always was adequate, and maintained a small memory footprint. Now, all that is gone. Pure garbage, and a real disappointment.

when-u is a nasty piece of spyware. I have used this program for years, and, until now, have always had respect for it. When-U can bugger up the system really good. ToolBarCop shows a new toolbar that tries to install when-u when you open a browser. Delete the daemon-tools-when-u-installer folder and then remove the toolbar entry.

For the RIAA and others to do something like this is like the dog that bit the feeders fingers off, and continued on to the shoulder. Where would music be if people could not have submitted their music to a radio to get public opinion and introduce themselves to the recording industry? The RIAA profited for many years, giving near slavery wages to the artists. If there was no way for new artists to PROVE their material, the RIAA would not exist. Therefore, this change is antiproductive, and should be tossed out of court on its proverbial behind.
Where would we be if the likes of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles did not have radio exposure prior to release of their albums? Certainly not where we are now, and most people would be saying "Who?".

I think it is important to remember that, without microsoft, there would be very little in the way of computers for average users, and that they wrote the program, so they should be able to say what is in it. it is not their problem to make available copyrighted material so that other companies can make profit from their work. I think the idea of suing microsoft for providing an easy to use computer interface, with a plethora of available tools, is rediculous. it is their operating system. if jo blow wants to use some obscure media player, let him write the operating system to run it. I wish people would quit trying to kill success, and start trying to make some of their own.
