simple, light-weight + fast = all that firefox is not on osx. have been using camino for a while; it's a promising alternative.
6.0 (Sep 28, 2006)
Terrible release! No support for nickname, video and proper offline sorting.
Seems like this is a desperate release to keep the Mac community at bay again.
Use Adium X instead!
3.0 Beta 1 (Aug 2, 2006)
Very solid release. Looks neat and does what it says. The only downside, although maybe out of range for the development of the program, is the lack of cross-platform access to for example MSN (cause, I mean, who uses Yahoo apart from us few Mac users, and that only because of the Webcam support...!)
03.00.001.2038 (Jul 26, 2006)
Doesn't integrate at all with my system. The only tool I can use is Onfolio Deskbar. The actual toolbar doesn't show up anywhere, nor can it be found under any IE7 or desktop settings...
Onfolio is the only reason why I give it a 2 because it would be a nice tool - on the other hand also confusing though because RSS Feeds are already integrated into IE7...so why another tool for that?
1.5 Beta (Jul 15, 2006)
Now I know it is not great to rate a product if one hasn't actually used it, but I can't look over the fact that the new Office (Office 2006, release end of this year or beg. of next) has RSS feed support integrated.
The development of the product therefore becomes pointless unless a unique selling proposition is added to compete with the new integrated features of Outlook.

1.5 Beta (Feb 7, 2006 - 1:06 PM)
The system mentioned is most likely not a final release as it will be seen at the car show.
I give Microsoft credit for this attempt. Standard car media systems can/need to improve alot faster than they currently are doing. Especially voice-control is important in Europe. Using your mobile phone in the car is illegal in most EU states. Moreove, driving at 120mph it becomes difficult using current Media-systems that dont have touch screens nor voice control (I am speaking from experience with Audis and BMWs latest systems).
This system could be a great step forward (although sadly with the wrong company (Fiat))
