1.9 Build 13520 Alpha (Dec 1, 2008)
still the torrent client i like the most.
1.8.1 is stable and very reliable for me.
beware of build 13520, it is only meant for debugging, it will certainly crash or freeze when you try to run it for more than a couple of minutes (as stated in the µtorrent forum).
2.9.0 (Jul 11, 2007)
Changelog
- Added suport for DirectX 10
- Added option to monitor Desktop Window Manager under Vista
- Added Direct Stream sound recording for Vista
- Fixed screen tearing in video captured from DX9 games
- Fixed G15 LCD output running fast on Vista machines
- Improved resource sharing with multithreaded games
- Added numerous crash and compatibility fixes
Does what it says and never had a crash since I started using it.
1.7 Build 2999 RC2 (Jun 30, 2007)
"Yessssssssss. 3 releases in 2 days. 999999 releases the last month."
Seems you don't understand how beta testing works. When bugs have been fixed, there's a new release and for µtorrent being a small and not too complex program (ala photoshop or similar apps) it is easier to have more releases.
"Panathinaikos best team in Europe. Best fans everywhere.."
...and this is exactly related how to µtorrent? Seriously somewhere there's a discussion board for your chit-chat, but not here.
On to µtorrent, I like the low memory usage, atm having 38 torrents in queue it's around 70 MB and yes I've 2 gig ram, but even these fill up quite fast when I'm running some games togehter with boinc, winamp, ts², etc.
1.7 Build 2740 Beta (Jun 20, 2007)
I am using the 1.7 betas without any problems. Had only one crash with one of the builds.
Never had any speed problems since I tweaked the max half-open connections and max connections in the options.
6.7 Beta (Jun 8, 2007)
Seems vista is only mentioned at the download page and not on the main page.
Great program. Unfortunately I discovered it a bit to late to try and rescue my encrypted HDD, which got somehow damaged.
