Clearly one of the best antispyware that I've tested. I'm regularly cleaning infected computers. Usually Kaspersky + Malwarebyte + Autoruns are doing the job. In some cases, I made use of other tools like sdfix, smitfraud (mainly)
1.9.5 (Jul 4, 2007)
I've tested a lot of desktop managers. On my opinion, Aston is clearly one of the best.
You can't install it .. look at it and after 5mn say 'yes it's good' or 'no, it's bad'. You have to make your own settings, use it for several hours or days .. and then .. well you will see that it's a very good piece of software. Very few problems with win32 (never used with Vista) ... unfortunately, the windows x64 compatibility is not perfect.
Aston can not be compared with Samurize; clearly not the same objectives.
7.0.0.55 Beta (Apr 25, 2007)
5stars as it is clearly one of the best antivirus on the market actually. I really appreciate some few things: if the license is valid we can always update for the last program version. We also have very few problems with install/uninstall processes (norton or mcafee 'users' know what it means)
(for cleaning infected systems, we can install v5 in safe mode with network and update/clean everything without any single reboot. Unfortunately it's impossible with v6 and v7)
2.0.5 (Nov 13, 2004)
Few comments about the gui which is often described as not very good: a lot of graphic designers made use of dual screen (one screen for tools and another one for pictures) ... in this way, The Gimp is very well designed !

Madk0w seems to say that IE is better than Firefox; IE is well suited for windows because both products (IE and Windows) are from the same builder (microsoft). Following this, you can add that any non-microsoft program is not adapted to Windows ... Please, Madk0w, use your brain: there is some guys in this world who knows how to develop a software and what a standard means.

I'm using an android mobile, there's of course less app. but there's also many many app. and they are often doing the same job. If we look closely. there's around 10 to 20 app that everybody uses. The other app are for fun, are installed then deleted right away. With 100.000 app in the apple store, the good thing is that we can find an app for anything. But I'm sure that, as for the android market, the main apps installed and used are always the same for the main part of the users.

A mix of the HTC Magic (Orange version of the HTC G1) and the HTC Dream (provided by SFR)?
In july, it will be interesting to follow the Android war in europe between HTC and Samsung (i7500).

I'm using trillian daily since ... many years. I found Astra (trillian v4) as a very good piece of program: tons of settings, beautiful skins ... I'm using it on old and new computers, running Vista x64, XP32 and XP64 computers without any problem. For treworld, in "stand by mode", it takes around 5 to 10Mb in memory where Live messenger is around 35Mb (seen on windows XP64).

Anti-piracy law => 40% internet traffic loss
Please, lawyers, don't forget to take a look one day to anti-spam laws (not the same amount of data as for the downloading but spams represent a lot of emails!)

I don't know how it will be when Vista will be there (?); but for sure, I'm actually selling computers which are able to run Vista ... but nothing really more. I mean that 'my' computers (~P4.3400-i915 / AMD64.3700-nforce4 / 1Gb) are unable to run smoothly Vista (at least for beta versions). Don't know where they find half of PCs vista ready.
