  1. Review - Wasabi

    3.0 Final (Build #488) (Aug 8, 2002)

Im disappointed. There are veeery few programs that can do every thing good. In most cases, a program is only of high quality when it concentrates on one thing and what its good at. Winamp 2.8 RULES because it is the BEST mp3 player. Now, they turned Winamp3 into a MULTIMEDIA system and instead of being great at one thing..it is now merelt mediocre in many things. The video support is lacking, and I use other progz i am more comfy with anyway. It loads too slow and uses more system resources. Before, I could play an Online game like Quake or Ghost recon and have Winamp 2 play with no hickups..now there are skips and pauses as the system tries to use winamp3 and share resources with the game. I still prefer the playlist in the old one. It didnt do too much..but it was EASY to use and not in the way. THhe new one makes the program take up almost the whole screen. Last time I checked I dont put winamp on and leave it there, I use it and then minimize or keep it to the side and the new ones defauly skin takes up too much room.

Its good..dont get me wrong..but they tried to do too much and ended up being merely 'good' in all things. Id rather have them be GREAT in ONE thing...mp3s.

Im sticking with 2.8 till 3 gets more point releases..3.1a, 3.1b..etc..

  3. Comment - Revamped Yahoo News Site Goes Live

    3.0 Final (Build #488) (Apr 28, 2005 - 5:08 PM)

I like the new layout alot..but i still use googles for one reason only..yahoo still has preset width to their news page and tables...googles auto expands and fits the whole browser window to show more content.

I run my desktop on a large resolution and prefer googles method more.

  4. Comment - New Satellite Takes DirecTV High Def

    3.0 Final (Build #488) (Apr 28, 2005 - 5:03 PM)

Personally I cant wait till Verizon has fiber going directly to homes.

It will make things so much easier and faster. High def tv, phone service, and broadband internet all from one line...and only one bill to track and pay.

Not to mention if they manage to make it popular enough that people start adding cat 5 cables to their homes wiring plans like they do coax cable, then you get automatic homenetworking capabilities to boot without having to worry about wireless if you dont want.

  5. Comment - Sony Details PSP Launch Pricing, Date

    3.0 Final (Build #488) (Oct 28, 2004 - 3:54 PM)

Not only that but, the battery is replacable.
You can have a spare charged one near by and swap em out when one dies.
Sony already stated they will be selling the extra batteries.
