  1. Comment - NSA Has Record of US-to-US Calls

Amen, although I have to disagree with your idea about Americans ... although technically you are correct, Citizens are NOT required to protect America. I believe that this is part of what is wrong with America, its citizens don't really protect it, but they sure as heck want all the freedoms we enjoy here now don't they.

  2. Comment - NSA Has Record of US-to-US Calls

Sigh, it is NOT security, if you think they can make the country secure by logging all the phone calls and such, you need to go get some common sense. Being "aware" of what's going on IS security, as well as taking appropriate actions to counter the information that you recieve.

The government had plenty of warnings and not just on the phone. They had plenty of warnings from other nations. Do you think that 911 would not have happened if they had logged each and every call BEFORE 911?? Sure ... it still would have happened anyway because the US intelligent forces were stupid and failed to act on what information they had.

The problem is, they're wasting our tax dollars ... I have a problem with that. I could care less if they are listening, though that's somewhat annoying. Will it stop, I seriously doubt that. Has it been goin on for years? Anyone who thinks it has not is not very well informed.

Security ... right, it's just another way to invade our privacy even more ...

  3. Comment - Report: Vista Security Not Enterprise Ready

    (May 10, 2006 - 3:23 PM)

Windows is NOT more secure than any other OS, you need to do some research.

Why does the Government use Windows? 90% of the world uses Windows because it is "user friendly". This is the same reason why the government uses it. You want a system that is secure? Don't let it on the internet ...

Where there is an OS, there is assuredly another hacker / programmer, etc .. that can most likely pry their way into a system.

Agreed, it IS your job to protect your PC just as it is your job to protect your house. One of the best ways to make your system "more" secure is to educate yourself about the "flaws" of your machine and windows, in knowing that, you can better protect yourself against intrusions from outside sources.

  4. Comment - BitTorrent Signs Deal With Warner Bros.

    (May 10, 2006 - 8:42 AM)

You mean they mean different things even though they sound the same ?? *Snicker*

Some may buy them online as they may live remotely and are too lazy to drive to where ever they are sold. I think it's a good move on BitTorrent's part.

It's a great philosophy, to work "with" these people instead of operating in the dark side. This just shows that BitTorrent is trying to be an ethical company, they aren't out here to dis other companies.

  5. Comment - IE7 Beta 2 Receives Mixed Reviews

    (May 10, 2006 - 8:27 AM)

Windows is all about the money, did you expect it to be free? I realize that this IS beta, so one would think they would at least let you get hooked before they soaked you for the money, but I guess not. LOL.

Again, as I've stated in other posts, I'll go back to my FF for now. I only have to use MS when I do Windows update ... imagine that! FF has worked for everything else up to this point.

I will say that IE7 is faster than their previous versions, but I'm not liking the interface they've given at this point in time.
