  1. Review - Vuze for Windows

    4.3.0.0 (Nov 13, 2009)

I've noticed the super sloooow download speeds also, even with huge number of seeds. Any idea what is the problem? Still Vuze is a lot easier to use than other torrent programs.

Edit I just installed the new version on Vuze and if Punissuer hadn't made the comments about that damn small "licence" notice and how badly it is worded I just might have missed it. Untill Vuze correct that with full size lettering and CLEAR notification I will simply rate Vuze 1, no matter how good it is.

  2. Review - Google Earth for Windows

    5.1.3506.3999 Beta (Sep 12, 2009)

JSX, you just have made my day if not the decade! I actually am able to look at the houses in a city near Montreal that has yet to be unblurred in Google Earth or even in Microsoft's Virtual Earth. As for my rathing of Google Earth? I give it a 1 because they have yet to update their eart views.

  3. Review - Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE Redistributable

    3.00.0089.00 (Aug 19, 2009)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Games_for_Windows

"Games for Windows is a gaming platform and marketing campaign by Microsoft that dates back at least to 2005, and was revised in 2006. Games for the platform must meet certification standards similar to those of modern popular video game consoles. The campaign aims to make video gaming on Windows operating systems as easy and accessible as on popular video game consoles.

The campaign has been promoted through convention kiosks and through other forums as early as 2005.[1]"

Seems the morons as M$ can't even write a proper description to what could be something useful.

    "What is it?"
    "It's green!"

  4. Review - Seven Transformation Pack

    1.0 (Apr 29, 2009)

I have to admit that this one is rather tempting. :P At the moment I'm using the BricoPack Vista Inspirat Ultimate 2 pack. How do they compare? Giving Seven a 4 for its look.

  5. Review - Process Lasso (x32)

    3.54.7 (Apr 13, 2009)

EmanresU deriseD, the point is that now they have even added a popup that has you waiting 10 seconds(or what ever) before you can kill it. And add to that the damn tray balloon asking for money. I have a very simplye idea. Let's call that thing exactly what it is. NAGWARE. They've pissed me off enough for me to get rid of it, even if I liked it enough to give it a rating of 4 back in January. Now, I'd be so happy to give it a minus 5.

  6. Comment - Opponents of Windows 7 IE plan label browser ballot screen a 'threat'

    3.54.7 (Oct 1, 2009 - 12:07 AM)

    A small favor please.

I simply can't understand what the hell this is all about. Yes, I do understand that Internet Explorer is part of the operating system BUT, even so, so what? Where does it say in XP, Vista, or even Windows gazillion thousand that one is obligated to use Internet Explorer?

I use Avant browser because I like it a hell of a lot more than Internet Explorer. I also know it does use the IE engine but I don't mind. I do use Firefox and even Orca. Simply put I use the browser I want! Oh my god! I can choose the browser I want to use, even if IE was bundled in the operating system. So, what the hell is the big deal? Please explain.

  7. Comment - Pirate Bay acquisition looks rockier than ever

    3.54.7 (Aug 24, 2009 - 3:54 PM)

Rockier??? How about as in shut down?

    http://news.cnet.com/830...037-93.html?tag=nl.e703

"Update: 11:55 a.m. PT To include reports that some are able to access the site.

A Swedish district court has ordered an Internet service provider there to stop servicing The Pirate Bay.

The most popular BitTorrent tracker in the world appeared to be inaccessible to many in the U.S. on Monday morning but the blog TorrentFreak reported that the site had found a new connection to the Web and there were reports from readers that they were able to log on to the site. Citing a source close to The Pirate Bay, TorrentFreak said that the tracker was still down but would be back up on Tuesday.

  8. Comment - Media goes crazy over Amazon deleting '1984' from Kindle, but 99-cent ebook was illegal copy

    3.54.7 (Jul 17, 2009 - 9:42 PM)

That's not to say that Amazon's actions were completely justifiable. The two ebooks may have been illegal copies, but they were purchased by the customer. In the real world, if you purchase stolen goods, you don't get to keep those goods, but you're also properly informed of the situation. This is where Amazon messed up.

Ok, maybe the copies weren't legal but that ceratinly doesn't give Amazon the right to delete what ever IT feels is illegal. What if a book was not only a legal copy but also bought from somewhere else LEGALLY but Amazon it its godly wisdom still felt it was illegal? And who the hell has, by the way, the right to decide what I have or don't have on my Kindle? Yes, 1984 was the perfect book to be deleted.

  9. Comment - ASCAP wants money for your ringtone

    3.54.7 (Jul 5, 2009 - 9:02 PM)

And what if I dig up one of my LPs, anyone remember those, and use a track off of it to make a ringtone? After all, I DID pay for that damn LP or is it supposed to be used only with an elliptical diamond needle? ASCAP (I love that name for the images it brings to my mind) and the RIAA never cared about the musicians. Out with them.

Because of them I still can't listen to some stations that used to stream on the web.

  10. Comment - Inside EPIC's privacy claim against Google: What's the evidence?

    3.54.7 (Mar 18, 2009 - 8:29 PM)

"Google encourages users to 'add personal information to their documents and spreadsheets,' and represents to consumers that 'this information is safely stored on Google's secure servers,'"

Isn't it exactly what credit card companies and banks said about their security about the personal information of their customers , time and time again?
