1.3.0.1190 Beta 1 (Jul 23, 2009)
I am using it with Ubuntu and it's working great The only thing I would need is a fade out when I press the pause or stop button or while doing a seek.
Other than that I really like where it is going. 4 stars.
10.0 Build 1589 Beta (Jun 18, 2009)
The last few years I have been very critical towards Opera. I tried several versions and was impressed by its startup and rendering speed but not by its user interface or features.
For instance I never could make Opera get to acknowledger Gmail as my default email handler. Even when I tried with the help of Dutch blogger Rijk. A few weeks ago I decided to try the new beta 10 Build 1551.
Boy, was I surprised. I don't know what happened but the developers at Opera seem to have been listening at the users input. I had version 10 running as I wanted to within minutes. And with the help of the people at the user forum Opera now can handle Gmail as my default e-mail program.
Ad blocking is taken care of by adsweep and bam! I now have a lighting fast easy to handle browser. Spell check is easy to use and the download of other dictionaries is smooth to say the least. I was also impressed by the fact that this beta build performed rock steady on my system.
I am even happier with this new Build 1589. Not only does it have the 'unite' service working easy and right out of the box its renders a bit faster than the previous build. There is only one site that has not been loading that good and that's Hyves. Any other site is doing very well.
In short if you have been thinking about trying out Opera you should give it a go. Four stars because of the Hyves loading problem. Other than that highly recommended!
1.0.154.36 Final (Dec 12, 2008)

This is a great release. You can now center the fonts and give them colors as well. Deserved top score!

And what kind of Holidays may that be? You mean Christmas? If so, why don't you then NAME what you are talking about?
I am an atheist but I find it sickening the way American maneuver around the term Christmas. Stop the political correctness and name what's going on this time of year.
Merry Christmas to all!
