  1. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.50 Build 9523 Alpha 2 (Sep 14, 2007)

Awesome. Although to call this "Alpha 2" is a lie.

It's Alpha 1, with some additional fixes. It's a weekly release, not a milestone release.

  2. Review - WinMerge

    2.7.1.6 (Experimental) (Feb 3, 2007)

Afaid I can only give this a 3*, whilst it's bonus is it's free, it';s sadly lacking in features and plain ugly compared to products like Beyond Compare.

  3. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.10 Build 8679 (Dec 18, 2006)

The only missing feature from Opera (Phishing) has been implemented, and implemented well. This really is the ultimate browser.

  4. Comment - Wal-Mart won't stock HD DVD movies, players past June

    9.10 Build 8679 (Feb 15, 2008 - 12:53 PM)

Hey Hokuspokus, when are these cheap Walmart HD DVD players landing?

  5. Comment - Wal-Mart won't stock HD DVD movies, players past June

    9.10 Build 8679 (Feb 15, 2008 - 12:47 PM)

I predict that Walmart will only stock HD DVD movies from June.

I also predict that Netflix will go HD DVD exclusive.

    HD DVD is the victor.

  6. Comment - Gartner analyst: HD DVD has until the end of 2008

    9.10 Build 8679 (Jan 29, 2008 - 8:23 AM)

Looks like BestBuy are about to move. My local store (Allentown, PA) has taken all it's HD DVD stock (players and media) off the shelves..

Anyone else seeing similar? It was all there at the weekend (about 30/70 split in favor of Blu ray). I asked a member of staff, and they hinted it was being discontinued..

Looks like HD DVD's demise is happening even quicker than Gartner predict...

  7. Comment - HD VMD: The third format that would not die

    9.10 Build 8679 (Jan 8, 2008 - 3:26 PM)

If HD DVD was always doomed, I don't think there is even a word to describe this format...

  8. Comment - Microsoft stands behind HD DVD for Xbox 360

    9.10 Build 8679 (Jan 8, 2008 - 3:24 PM)

You don't know Microsoft very well. They have already trampled over Xbox users with the premature release of the 360, they have already trampled over 360 users by screwing them over with unreliability, HDMI, HDD required, and now possible Blu-ray addons.
