It's always been hard to find the free version from the main website. This is nothing new. What is beginning to pi55 ME off with AVG, and I too have used it for years, is that I now have to reboot most days. Uh? Forum worse than useless, sadly
SP3 RC2 Refresh (Mar 26, 2008)
No problems with SP3. Installed fine, no side-effects.
Note on WMP 11. Someone says it is totally stable. Not my experience - I have 1.5 terbaytes of music in my library, spread over 3 internal and 3 external drives. WMP 11 seizes up and crashes all the time - to all intents and purposes it is unuseable, 10 is fine - sure, it takes time to load the whole library, but it works.
Nor do I want album covers shown regardless. It should be an option - as most of the library is downloaded music, the placeholder display is a nuisance. I would like to keep the explorer approach of 10.

Superb software. If you are running a home network, and one or more of you are avid P2Pers, this will stop your bottlenecks like that. Worth every penny.

Regardless of the fact that this govt's IT record is appalling, this won't fly. See above link ...
4.21 Build 1401 Beta (Apr 25, 2008 - 10:26 AM)
Errrm, Hollywood, you forget the many Linux distros around now. That's where I will go - not Vista. For every one satisfied Vista users there seem to be 10 very pissed-off ones, judged by the number "upgrading" back to XP.
