  1. Comment - SP2 for Vista, WS2K8 to enter beta Wednesday, will support Blu-ray

    (Oct 27, 2008 - 9:49 AM)

Why hasn't Corporate America upgraded? Duh idiot, maybe they just upgraded to WinXP, doesn't make sense to do it again. OR, Why fix something that ain't broke yet. (notice I said YET)

In fact Vista DOESN'T have any issues, the only problem I, as a technician, have is the lack of a Repair option. The NEED to bring this make. Its just like in Win2K, they took out MSCONFIG. But at least with that you could run it still as long as you had the exe file.

  2. Comment - BlackBerry-controlled TiVo is on its way

I have the 8703e and have NEVER EVER EVER had a crash. I do admit they seem to be getting chintzier and chintzier as new models arrive.

  3. Comment - Analysis: US text messaging is way up, despite higher pricing

    (Sep 12, 2008 - 9:22 AM)

I use US Cellular. Text msg is .25 per message. However, ANYTHING incomming is free. Either way, text message is stupid. I see 8 and 9 yr olds walking down the street with their very own phones not paying attention to where they are walking because all the care about is their STUPID phone. I survived just fine without a phone. If I left my phone off for even a week, I would be perfectly 100% happy. I don't understand this problem with "cant live without it"

  4. Comment - Can a touch-screen interface turn Windows around?

    (May 28, 2008 - 9:41 AM)

Let me start of my saying Vista is not a power hungry OS. I have it on my 1.5Ghz with 768MB ram laptop. It runs perfectly!!

As far UAC, TURN IT OFF!!!
Second of all, most of the complaints are the slowness of it unless you got power, 75% of the services and processes, can be disabled. Its called a little bit of knowledge and not taking the product face on.

Driver support is not Microsofts fault, its the damn lazy manufacturers. The SAME EXACT thing happened with XP and people complained then. Face it, its here and its here to stay.

  5. Comment - US Cellular joins the ranks of carriers with unlimited calling plans
