  1. Review - MSN Messenger for Windows

    7.5.0299 (Aug 23, 2005)

The simple fact that you can't easily change people's contact names is a big minus for me. While I watch for security updates in this program since the kid uses it, I don't use it myself all that often. Like the other main IMs out there, it's become bloated with ads (yeah the mess.be patch comes in handy to kill a lot of it) and other useless 'features'. I'll stick to trillian myself since I have friends and family that use aol, yahoo, msn, icq.

  2. Review - MSN Messenger for Windows

    7.0.0816 (Jul 1, 2005)

meh, I hate it when there's no change log in the description.
Anyone know what they changed??? How would a review on a new version be anything at all if there's no list of changes to review?

Yeah this program is bloated but I keep it installed for the kids, they like it even though I keep it 'tweaked' with an app from mess.be. Personally, all I need is a an IM to send text without the bloated options which is why I use Miranda.

  3. Review - Yahoo! Toolbar for Internet Explorer

    6.0 Beta (May 23, 2005)

A little too bloated for my liking. I'll stick with a tweaked down Google bar.
3 for including an antispy & effort.

This software worked like it said it would.

  5. Review - FileZilla v3 for Windows

    2.2.12b (Mar 16, 2005)

FileZilla's GUI is pretty standard when compare to any other FTP program out there that I've tried. It's easy to use and easy to set up plus it's FREE!
No adware, no spyware, no trialware... plain and simply free.

  6. Comment - Can Microsoft Make Vista More Compelling?

    2.2.12b (Oct 26, 2007 - 4:46 PM)

I regret every cent I spent on Vista Home.
    It's pretty though.

They could never do that so they've given up trying to.
    I 2nd your notion though.

  8. Comment - Google Preparing to Launch IM Service

Very little is free these days. I'm sure Google will implement some sort of Ad scheme for the product.

  9. Comment - Microsoft Issues IE Security Advisory

    2.2.12b (Jul 3, 2005 - 2:06 PM)

A default linux install is definitely more secure than a default windows xp install.

  10. Comment - IE6 Gets Pseudo Tabbed Browsing

    2.2.12b (Jun 9, 2005 - 11:29 PM)

    Finally!
I used it for about 5 minutes then uninstalled it.
Hopefully it won't stay bundled with the desktop search... gah!
    At least it's a start.
I'll stick to Maxthon & Firefox.
