  1. Review - Comodo Internet Security (32-bit)

    3.13.119746.572 (Nov 18, 2009)

It's a five, but I would like to see a log of packets allowed, not just the ones blocked, in real time.

  2. Review - iTunes for Windows

    9.0.2 (Oct 30, 2009)

Well, let's see. The first thing I do is dump Bonjour and switch out QuickTime for QTLite, then kill the iPod service, then it's basically ready to go. Also I've learned that I can download any mp3 I want from Amazon, so no more iTunes store, and then that's basically it, (with every new update!)

My only alternative would be to burn about 2 Gigs worth of tunes to CD in order to convert them all to mp3, and ditch this bozo for good. I'm not quite there yet.

  3. Review - XP-AntiSpy

    3.97-4 (Oct 23, 2009)

Wow, what a let down! Am I dreaming or did I see an ebay toolbar stuck to the bottom of this thing. I know I unchecked the option to install the ebay toolbar too.
XP-AntiSpy taking sponsorship from ebay--The irony is too much. Ack!

  4. Review - AIMP

    2.60 Build 507 RC2 (Oct 21, 2009)

OK I guess I was wrong. Scrolling in Firefox causes streaming lag in WMP too. Hmm. Could still use an English language help file though. Otherwise it's very light and speedy, looks good, and hey, it plays music.

  5. Review - Ad Muncher

    4.73 Build 31306 Beta (Oct 20, 2009)

With the exception of its IP Scramble component, which I suppose is some kind of onion router, and slows my browser down to a crawl like all onion routers do, and which I therefore never use, this is an excellent program. It does everything I was hoping it would- block ads- all ads, right out of the box- no fussing about, not tinkering--done.

On the other hand, if you want to mess around with it a bit, it is totally granular--totally! Totally awesome too, really and totally!
