  1. Review - Weather Pulse

    2.10 Build 10 (May 23, 2009)

Loses two stars because of admin rights required to run. Very sloppy.

To fix copy C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Weather Pulse folder to the user you want to run it under.
    Folder Example:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Example\Application Data\Weather Pulse
where Example is the user you would like run it under.

    I am using Winxp Pro.

Again NOTHING should require admin rights to run and in rare circumstances to even install.

    2.10 Build 10 (Aug 18, 2009 - 4:54 PM)

The point is to get you to pay for it in as many formats as possible as much as possible.

  3. Comment - Firmware upgrade may be required for Seagate half-terabyte drives

    It's not a bug. It's a feature.

A long what? Motherboard? Hard drive? Power cable?

  5. Comment - Microsoft v. TomTom: Both parties emerge mostly unscathed

    2.10 Build 10 (Mar 31, 2009 - 12:34 AM)

The way I understand it, TomTom started it. Microsoft counter-litigated. TomTom will now be paying out to Microsoft as long as they use Microsoft's tech. TomTom's patents being violated will not be pursued.

Moral of the story, do not try to patent troll Microsoft. Not only is their patent portfolio larger, but they have deeper pockets.

  6. Comment - Court disallows brief in trial against Harvard student who downloaded music
