  2. Review - HiDownload

    7.2 (Aug 15, 2008)

I have been using this program for two years now for recording on a schedual an audio stream. All in all the program is stable, so I give it 2 stars for that, and 1 extra star for recording the stream.

However, the interface needs work, and the stream recording repeat settings need a ton of work. I have been having issues with getting it to record when I have set it to specifically record at a repeated time each week. The only way I can get it to record is to stop the cycle and start it over again for before the program is going to record again.

I have reported this bug to their support desk many times as a bug, but it has never been able to be fixed. I really would rather give this program at least a 4, but because of what I outlined above I cannot.

  3. Review - ApexDC++

    1.0.0 Beta (Apr 10, 2007)

I have been using this client for about 6 months now as a beta tester, this program does exactly what it is supposed to, it is much better than the origional DC++ client.

The creators do their best to fix bugs when their reported, if ya find any all please report it! :)

  4. Review - µTorrent for Windows

    1.7 Build 1137 Beta (Apr 9, 2007)

I have to agree with ModderXManiac for the most part, the program seems to be exactly doing what it is supposed to.

I have used utorrent for a year now, and this beta seems to be just as good as any previous beta.

The only thing worth noting is, there is phone home on startup.... but utorrent has always done that, even on the previous good builds. To verify this if you like, install Peer Guardian, and relaunch the program and you will see a blocked address pop up each time even if check for updates is disabled.

Reality is it aint a big deal if your actually legitament in the first place. Secondarily, there is no proof that I have seen as yet to conclude that they are spying, so therefore I remain with a rating of 4.

Typo near the end I think.. "journalsapce trademark" should be journalspace trademark.

same here. Tried Opera, IE, Firefox with same result.

  8. Comment - House bill would enforce ESRB game rating system

    2.3.0.3 Beta 4 (May 10, 2008 - 4:08 PM)

As H.R. 5990 currently reads, "It shall be unlawful for any person to ship or otherwise distribute in interstate commerce, or to sell or rent, a video game that does not contain a rating label, in a clear and conspicuous location on the outside packaging of the video game, containing an age-based content rating determined by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board."

I really do not like the wording of that. If I am reading this right if this were to become law the sale of pre-ESRB games and imported games would become illegal because they do not have a rating from ESRB. So in essence if that reading is correct Commander Keen is banned from being resold in old game shops.

I am sorry, but it is the parents responsibility to determine what his son or daughter should not be doing.

  9. Comment - SlySoft's AnyDVD cracks BD+...again

agreed, AnyDVD is a very nice product. I use it as well for the DVD's I own. I am very much against piracy.
