It's amazing, considering the group of people this site brings in that no one gets it.
For those living under a rock in the tech community...
One word....
MESH
This has nothing to do with Vista. The PDC is coming up, and if you listen to Windows Weekly on Twit.tv you have known for a while. This last commercial just confirmed for me that they are talking about mesh.

I agree it's pointless to pursue that, but not for the same reasons.
How many people sit back and say, Hey! Apple or so and so included this or that feature in their OS, why is MS so far behind? Then as soon as they do... BAM! EU fines them for including too much.
I want the best product Microsoft can deliver. So for those saying this doesn't affect the consumer, they are wrong. Because every time MS has to strip something to comply. They are taking away a choice for the consumer.
I'm a business owner, and obviously a consumer. And even as an underdog in the business world, I don't want any help or advantage. I want to compete. That way I have a sense of slaying Goliath. See google... they came from no where... now look at them, they are the giants. It's called competition. Don't be afraid of it.
As far as the EU... Go jump in your "pond"

That's not technically true about Urge... They actually just merged with Rhapsody. Not shut down. I think until they are DRM free, digital music subscription services will never succeed, because they can't put the music on an iPod.
And before anyone says, yes I am aware there are ways. I'm just saying the average person won't do that.
