to the super blah, blah, blah guy (SteveJohnSteele): YOU got to be kidding me!!!
Mandriva worked perfectly on all the VM progs i have, including VMW6.0... the VM tools aren't even required to run it in a virtual machine... gosh... go read a book or google the thing. Even better, write to VMWare and ask them to fix/update their product. Even more better, go educate urslf before posting a total crap review and affecting the rating of an excellent distro.

Yep it is basically Active Desktop all over again! ViVa Windows 3.11... I personally knew a couple of IT support guys who committed suicide because of Active Desktop...
Back to Stardock... guys you have to tell the user when this can and cannot work!!! clearly, please.

Thank you Davis for this lil gem:)
This tool fills a huge gap, especially for the home/home network use, where simple protection can be achieved in a simple way. BRILLIANT!
I like the presets but prefer to separate the buttons from the apply/close set and be clearly titles PRESETS. Also would prefer the status, help and about butoons to be separated as well.
The STATUS function is very good, but there also should be a button to keep/revert to current setting for preview (not just after applying) while the user is still experimenting with the interface.
5 stars + 1 for releasing it as freeware.

M$ is the largest company of any kind just because users are (as usual) dumb enough to buy Windows. Add to this their severly critisized business deals with other manufacturers.
If you dont believe that, check how much people (that's us) spend on music download in a day!!! enough to revive all of Africa for a month. Also, while you're at it, check how much actors earn on a single movie (which we gladely give to them just because they look cute... em.. like VISTA).

Ah, and the rumour in Redmond is that they had to upgrade and patch the AUTOMATED CODE CHECKER (ver. ME) as it was not designed to number code lines past 999,999,999 lines. Somethin like the Year2000 bug, i've heard.

- The idea that M$ takes time to bring us a safe product is just... rediculous. It's time proven that (since win95, 98, the MIGHTY ME, 2k, XP and 2k3) we consumers we'll just end up with a buggy not-completed OS and we're stuck with it because this is what they use at work or comes pre-installed.
- The idea about M$ and wine!!! oh please don't!!! Half the world would get gastro then, god forbids.
- What exactely is in Vista that a knowladgeable current XP user can't achieve? (theoretically and practically). Even more, what's new in it that none of the open-source free distros can't bundle/package in a matter of 1 week? (AND JUST DONT START WITH THAT FILE SYSTEM that no one ever saw).
- Talking about M$ achievement and innovation in development... again??? BE REAL (that is GIME A BREAK). Try to mention Windows ME (after re-visiting all the media about it then) to anyone at M$ and they would look at you... em... strangely.

AND... anonymous doesnt mean that you can commit a crime. The moment you cross the line, you lose your right to be anonymous, and me with all the other mice will be supporting the court to sue your a$$ off. But till then, you be fair, and no more $tupid comments on how cement is better than green grass.

What we have here is a case where a human like MightyMouse (hehe), with a clear clean thought about the freedom that constitutes our existance getting bullied and told off by WinCemented species (hehe again, i guess it means stuck to windoes?!) using the same arguments that the governments of the FREE world use to send our kids to die in a remote location just to suck oil.
Free humans are free to do whatever they like whether cement companies, the feds and the pop like it or not. Now if someone steals your cement, well, go and sue em mate... Just dont even think that your ideas are worth a cheese in the eye of a mighty mouse. Bleedin He11... WAKE UP
